Biju Phukan (Assamese: বিজু ফুকন) is a senior Assamese cine-actor of great fame. He was born in Dibrugarh , where he studied in the hallowed "Kanoi College". He acted in more than thirty Assamese movies of the 80s and has contributed a lot towards Assamese cinema. His first movie was Dr. Bezbaruah (1970).One of his evergreen hit songs that attained cult fame and hit the blockbuster charts was "Mon Hira Doi" from the film 'Ajoli Nabou".
Presently he resides in R.G Baruah Road, Guwahati.

Apart from Assamese films, he has acted in Bengali films like Hotel Showfox,Aparajita,Doishyu Ratnakar,Gajamukta He has also acted in a number of Stage dramas like Captain Gogoi,Falgo,Haiya Dhuwai Nile. Biju Phukan had also done a stint in "Abahon Theatre" and "Bhagyadevi Theatre" of Assam. He produced an Assamese Video film named " Ghatak"
